Just under the wire too! I knit like mad! By Friday I had a sleeve missing. Thankfully Friday the little one had a day full of holiday chorus shows, so I took the knitting with me and knit like mad! I finished it Friday at about 11 pm, washed it, and blocked it. I still didn't have the pin, so Saturday morning I went to Joann's hoping I could find some kind of brooch or something to hold it together. What I did find was a really pretty button and the pins to make a brooch, so I got the button and the pins and went home and put it all together using glue. It was all dry by the time I was dressed and ready to go! I'm so happy how this came out. It looked great on me. I have to scan the picture we took at the party later and post it up , or I'll take a picture of me wearing it later. I'm realy proud of how it came out and I'm really proud of what a quick knit it was! My boyfriend (man with little faith in my dedication) swore up and down that I was not going to have time to finish it. Boy was he wrong!
Now that I don't have anything I have to knit, I'm back to doing socks. I'm working on Lenore. I'll put pictures of that on my Ravelry.
I also finished the chemise for my mom. It came out really nice. I have it soaking right now so that I could block it over night. I know in this picture it doesn't look like much, but wait, I'll show you once it's blocked how nice it is.
She has a fascination for green, so I made it a nice light green. I love this chemise because it's something she can wear around the house, with a pair of jeans, or with a nice pair of pants and a jacket to go out. I hope she likes it.
